THE COMBINED 3 DAYS ROUNDTABLE CIVIL-MILITARY COOPERATION SEMINAR HELD FROM 18 – 20 JULY 2018 AT COMMAND GUEST HOUSE, MAIDUGURI.

The combined three (3) days roundtable organized by British Military Advisory Training Team (BMATT) and the Office of Security Cooperation (OS) of the United State Embassy, Abuja from 18 – 20 July 2018 at Command Guest House, Maiduguri.
The seminar was aimed at interacting with both the Nigerian Army and the humanitarian community in the NorthEast in promoting Civil-Military Cooperation doctrine/best practice and also to complement Operation LAST HOLD activities in the fringes of the Lake Chad Basin. Furthermore, the following topics were covered during the discussions: The nature and character of civilian, Humanitarian principles, Civil-Military Coordination and Protection of civilians in the theater by erudite professionals in CIMIC operations.
Additionally, the 25 participants currently deployed in North East and Army Headquarters Department of Civil-Military Affairs, Abuja from the rank of Major – Brigadier General attended the seminar. And equally the G9 cell officers from all formations participated in the seminar. The seminar highlighted the principles of CIMIC doctrine and the activities of the humanitarian community within the theater.
